Here you can view the draft plans for the proposed \u00a0development and send us your feedback on the proposals.<\/p>\n<h3>Why is development proposed here?<\/h3>\n<p>Rushcliffe Borough Council has allocated the land at Hill Farm House for residential development, as part of wider proposals for around 1,500 houses to be built at Edwalton. The wider plans also include a neighbourhood centre, community facilities and employment generating uses. The land is allocated for development in the Council&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rushcliffe.gov.uk\/planningpolicy\/localplan\/localplanpart1corestrategy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Core Strategy<\/a>. The Council published a draft <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rushcliffe.gov.uk\/media\/rushcliffe\/media\/documents\/pdf\/planningandbuilding\/planningpolicy\/spds\/Draft%20Melton%20Road%20Edwalton%20Dev%20Frame%20SPD_final_low%20res.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Development Framework<\/a> for consultation in early 2015, which sets out how the area will be developed in a co-ordinated manner, with financial contributions towards bringing forward a wide range of new community facilities.<\/p>\n<h3>What is proposed?<\/h3>\n<p>We&#8217;re consulting on proposals for development at Hill Farm House, comprising 52 new houses and the conversion of existing barns to 2 dwellings. Chave Planning is engaged by the owners of the land, Mr &amp; Mrs Rigley, to apply for planning permission on their behalf to establish how the site can be developed, taking in to account local environmental constraints. This may mean that the plans will change, but we thought it important that local residents were given an opportunity to have an input at this stage and to influence the emerging plans for the development. We will submit a planning application over the summer and the Council will carry out consultation with neighbours adjoining the site at that stage.<\/p>\n<p>The outline planning application will not include full details of the new-build development as the outline application only seeks to establish the principle and parameters of the development. However full details will be submitted for the proposed conversion of the barns to dwellings.
